My story
01
Born and raised in Chennai, Rhevanth was schooled at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan, the campus that first nudged him to look at the world beyond the classroom. By high school he had been elected to the student council and represented Tamil Nadu at the Global Young Leader's Conference in New York and Washington DC. The pattern was set early — serious about studies, restless about how things actually worked on the ground.

He read law at the School of Excellence in Law, Dr. Ambedkar Law University in Chennai, taking his B.A.B.L. with Honours. A nomination to the Law College Student Council in 2017 and a year as Law Clerk to the Hon'ble Chief Justice of the Madras High Court in 2019–20 followed. He then went on to Queen Mary University of London for an LL.M. in Comparative and International Dispute Resolution.

Back home in Chennai, he co-founded Jus Dharma Attorney & Solicitors, where he still practises. Alongside the firm he runs a small group of family-anchored businesses — Ricco Realty as Co-Founder & Managing Director, and Rohini Silver Screens and Rohini Hotels Madras as Executive Director. The thread that ties them together for him is institutional discipline: keep promises, meet deadlines, treat the smallest customer like the largest.

The same discipline drives the work he treats as least negotiable. As a trustee of Udhavi Sei, the NGO he helps run, he has spent years on flood and cyclone relief, the Vendaam Pothai anti-drug youth campaign, ration distribution, and honouring sanitation workers across the city. When Thalapathy Vijay launched Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam on a service-first platform, the alignment was natural. He chose to stand from Maduravoyal because it is the constituency he has spent the most ground-level time in.

What I stand for
Transparency
Every issue submitted gets a public status update. No hidden conversations.
Service first
Politics is the means; better roads, water and schools are the end.
Listening to people
Door-to-door visits are not for campaign season alone.
Accountability
If we miss a promise, we say so publicly — with what we are doing to fix it.
My vision for Maduravoyal
Maduravoyal should become the first Chennai constituency where every basic service — water, roads, electricity, healthcare — is fixed within seven days of being reported. Where street-level public transport actually shows up on time. Where children walk to school on lit streets. The work is unglamorous, but the standard is simple: things should work.
01
Audit every street's drainage line and publish a public repair calendar.
02
Open a constituency office that's actually open every weekday, 9 AM – 6 PM.
03
Get the Block 7 health sub-centre fully staffed within 60 days.
